Maria Martinez on Drums

“Maria and Ed are the real deal”

Remo Belli
President and Founder
Remo Inc.

Maria and Ed’s enthusiasm is infectious! A lot of times when musicians are as seriously talented as these people are, you feel like you just want to give up after watching them. But, seeing a World Beat Rhythms event actually inspires you. WBR offers essential lessons in technique and styles. But moreover, it teaches organic feel and the joy of being in the moment of music; for drummers and non-drummers alike!”

Juels Thomas
Education & Event Manager
Drum Workshop, Inc.

“The World Beat Rhythms drum clinic was one of the most successful clinics we’ve ever had. The response from our customers (young and old) was overwhelmingly positive. It scored big points! Ed and Maria really know how to captivate their audience and get them involved – hands on. We plan on having them back for more!”

Steve Hilstein: Owner
Drum Circuit (Five Star Drum Shop)
San Luis Obispo, CA

“I had such a ball at the last World Beat Rhythms event that I’ll make it a point to make as many of them as I can. Don’t miss it, be there!”

Joe Porcaro

“A World Beat Rhythms clinic gives the attendee a rare opportunity to expand their knowledge of world rhythms with two masters of the art form. Maria Martinez & Ed Roscetti, creators of the WBR event, have developed teaching methods from years of performing, recording, and teaching. Their insight into world rhythms combined with a joyful approach to learning, benefit players of all ages. Unlike other music clinics, the WBR event not only shares secrets of how to play different world music styles, it shows the all-important aspect of musical interaction – always ending with everyone playing together in an ensemble format. This very valuable, very fun feature sets them apart from anyone else conducting this topic. The World Beat Rhythms clinic is sure to be a winner for all parties involved.”

Rich Mangicaro
Artist Relations Director, Innovative Percussion
Managing Director Music Education/Artist Events
Paiste America, Inc.

“Maria and Ed are such fabulous players I would have been content just to listen to them perform; but throw in their incredible enthusiasm and love for music, their ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience, and the way they involve all participants with hands on experience, I couldn’t have asked for a better clinic. I can’t wait to have them back.”

Andrew: Owner

I just wanted to let you both know that you were a hit! I looked through the evaluations for the UCLA event and everyone learned quite a bit from your seminar. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job. I will contact you about the follow-up date.
